READ THE BIBLE IN 90 DAYS

The journey has begun! Many within the church are seeking to Read the Bible in 90 Days. This journey will enable you "to experience Scripture in a whole, new way." When the first week is completed on Labor Day, we will have journeyed through Geneis and Exodus and will be entering the Promised Land.

'HERE AND NOW...THERE AND THEN' WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

This new Women's Bible Study will begin on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30 in the Bender's Landing subdivision at the home of Lynette Jupp (5502 Balsam Fir Court). The first evening will be an intro and social time, so feel free to bring a dessert to share if you would like. The study will be Beth Moore's Here and Now...There and Then study on Revelantion. It is a study with "light homework".

We will plan to start at 6:30 and finish around 8:30 on Wednesday nights for 11 weeks...finishing up the study on November 17. For more information, contact Stacey Wallace at stacey_wallace@sbcglobal.net or Lesley Pyle at lesleypyle@comcast.net.

UMCOR WORK TEAM LEAVES FOR BALDWIN, LOUISIANA

A Work team from Faith UMC will be leaving for Baldwin on Labor Day Weekend. UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) gathers materials from across the US to send out to all parts of our world to come to the aid of God's people....wherever they might be. Kits are delivered to areas devastated by floods, hurricances, tornados, earthquakes, or other disasters.

The Work Team will be assembling packets that will be boxed and ready for shipment upon any need that arises. Please pray for our work team...for their safety in travels and for the work that they will do to represent the people of God.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY BEGINS SEPTEMBER 12

Financial Peace University is a program that teaches you how to beat debt, build wealth, and keep your own economy thriving.

Our fall session of FPU is starting on Sunday, September 12th at 5:30. The study is for 13 weeks and will end on December 5th. UMM 1st ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

You are invited to tee off with the UMM in their 1st annual Gold Tournament. This year's tournament willbe held at Windrose Golf Club in Houston on October 2nd with a Noon registration and a shotgun start at 1:30. The format is 4 person scramble handicapped. Bogey is your friend.

The entry fee is $125 per player or $500 per team. 50% of your fee is tax deductible. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
